August: Red and Yellow Summertime Herb Garden Challenge

Welcome to the Monthly Theme Color Challenges here at Whimsical Boredom Buster Frolics. This month, get ready for a burst of creative fun centered around Red and Yellow, nestled within a Summertime Herb Garden theme! Take a peek at the image below to see how I created my very own summertime herb garden on my wall shelves and how I incorporated the colors. For my yellow accents, I chose sweet honeybees, while charming buckets, cheerful ladybugs, and a whimsical gnome brought in the red.

As you saw above, my 'Summertime Herb Garden' came to life on my wall shelves. Perhaps your Summertime Herb Garden will come to life on a page in your journal, be stitched into a delightful quilt, brighten a windowsill, become a whimsical centerpiece, or even flourish outdoors.


And as you consider your garden's design, think about how you will incorporate this month's colors of red and yellow. Maybe your garden will be visited by bright red cardinals or cheerful yellow canaries, just like mine is visited by cheerful red ladybugs, sweet yellow honeybees, and a whimsical red gnome. Perhaps growing among your herbs will be vibrant yellow sunflowers or fragrant red roses. You might even have some red rubies or bright yellow lemons among your herbs, similar to the yellow honey and bee hives among mine. Maybe you will also have some red and yellow bead garland adorning your garden.
